Info: With nine Oscar nominations in 1941, "The Little Foxes" directed by William Wyler was the most Oscar-nominated movie about Alabama until "Forrest Gump" won Best Picture in 1994. The film was adapted from Lillian Hellman's stage hit inspired by her Demopolis family, the Marxes, who are buried in Mobile. Bette Davis plays Regina, based upon Hellman's grandmother Sophie Marx Newhouse, who seeks ownership of a cotton mill expected to yield millions.
